What we collect and why
We process your email address, display name, authentication information, acceptance of these terms, plan, subscription status and access dates to provide and secure your account. The legal basis is performance of the service contract. Security and administrative logs are processed for our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and maintaining a reliable service. When you request a free trial, we compare protected hashes of your network address, verified email and a random signed browser identifier to prevent repeated claims across accounts. Trial-usage hashes remain after account deletion to prevent trial resets; raw IP addresses are not stored in this trial register. A shared network may already have used its trial. Subscription and payment records are processed for the contract and applicable legal obligations.
Account activity and service monitoring
While you are signed in, we record visible-page activity, the page and animation you have open, approximate active time, and the IP addresses used to access the service. We also record rendering operations, their duration, output settings, completion or failure, and exported file size. Only administrators can view these account records. We use them to manage access, prevent abuse and diagnose server performance. For completed exports, we keep an editable snapshot and a small private video preview so administrators can review creator animations and select variations for the library. Account-linked activity and creation records are removed from the active application when the account is deleted. Separately published library copies keep their own assets and settings.
Partner referrals
When you open a partner link, we automatically store a random browser identifier and the first referral for 30 days. We count that visit and connect it to your new account if you register within that period. Email registrations remain pending until the address is confirmed; Google signup also counts after verification. Only administrators can see referral reports; partners are not given account details. Account-linked referral records are removed when your account is deleted; visit totals are separate from those account records.
Your images and edits
When you edit an animation, your settings and the images you add are sent to our rendering server to produce previews and your final video; they are used only for that purpose and are not added to our template library. Saved browser projects stay on that device. Template files and previews uploaded by an administrator are stored with Supabase. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication, the database, file storage and server functions. Our hosting provider processes connection and security logs to deliver the website. If the anti-abuse check is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical information needed to distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Whop processes checkout, subscription billing and payment information under its own privacy notice; we receive your subscription status and plan, not your full card details. Service providers may process information outside the EEA, using the safeguards described in their data-processing agreements, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
Rendering service
When you export, Remotion receives your IP address, the website origin, whether the render succeeded, and whether it was a video or still image and a development or production render. This limited operational telemetry supports software licensing under our legitimate interest in using properly licensed software. Your video content and editing props are not included. Remotion currently retains these telemetry records indefinitely; see its telemetry notice.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Account deletion removes your authentication account, profile and access records from the active application. Administrative security logs may remain after deletion where needed to investigate abuse or resolve disputes; we review their necessity and remove records no longer needed. Payment-provider records and records subject to statutory retention may remain for the applicable period. Backup copies expire according to the hosting provider’s backup retention. Browser data remains until you clear it or sign out where applicable.
Your choices and rights
You can permanently delete your account from My account. Contact us to request a copy of your data, access, correction, restriction, portability, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. We normally respond within one month. You can complain to Romania’s data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or your local supervisory authority. We do not sell your personal data or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Age and marketing
This service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Account registration does not subscribe you to marketing. No advertising pixels or third-party audience analytics trackers are included in this release.
